Stratzie Joins the AI Governance Association (AIGA) Japan

Stratzie Consulting Pte Ltd (“Stratzie”), through Stratzie Mirai, its AI strategy and transformation service brand, is pleased to announce that it has joined the AI Governance Association (AIGA), Japan’s industry-led forum for advancing AI governance. As a member, Stratzie supports AIGA’s “AI Governance Action Agenda” — the shared commitment of AIGA and its member companies to maximising the value of AI through appropriate risk management.

Background and Purpose of Joining

The future of AI in Asia and Japan will not be decided by the best technology alone — it will be decided by the organisations that earn trust first. As a firm whose work begins with how people actually think, decide, and adopt, Stratzie sees AI governance as the discipline through which that trust is built.

Stratzie’s interest in AIGA stems from the association’s foundational role in Japan’s AI governance ecosystem: convening enterprises, policymakers, and practitioners who are shaping how responsible AI is implemented at scale. By joining AIGA and supporting the AI Governance Action Agenda, Stratzie commits to practising these goals in its own work and to contributing to AIGA’s working groups and research activities particularly:

·         using governance to clarify organisational strategy and accelerate innovation, and

·         Assisting AI governance for private-sector organisations in operationalizing AI governance.

What Stratzie Mirai Offers

Under the Stratzie Mirai brand, Stratzie combines consulting, research, and solutions in a hybrid model designed to unlock clarity, foresight, and measurable impact:

  • AI Strategy Development: capability assessments and adoption strategies with robust AI governance and ethical AI frameworks built in from the start — managing risk while building trust.

  • Culturally Ready AI Governance: customising and operationalising governance frameworks that fit local corporate values through its ALIGN framework.

  • AI & LLM User Research: behavioural research into how teams and customers  interact with AI tools, grounding adoption decisions in observed behaviour.

  • Agentic AI Framework Development: a structured path to governed, scalable agentic AI, from focused pilots to enterprise-wide frameworks, alongside executive workshops and training.

Stratzie Mirai’s View on AI Governance

Governance is too often viewed as a brake on innovation. Stratzie Mirai views it other way: organisations whose AI is well governed scale further and faster, because governance resolves the questions  of accountability, of data, and of the human role. And because trust is cultural as much as technical, governance frameworks must be attuned to the values and decision-making styles of the organisations and societies that use them.

This conviction aligns naturally with the three values at the heart of the AI Governance Action Agenda: 1) realising societal value, 2) building trust through a multi-stakeholder approach, and 3) promoting innovation.

About the AI Governance Association (AIGA) Japan

The AI Governance Association (AIGA) is a Tokyo-based, industry-led organisation established in 2023 and incorporated as a general incorporated association in October 2024. AIGA brings together AI developers, providers, and user companies — from global technology firms and major Japanese enterprises in finance, insurance, telecommunications, and manufacturing to AI and data startups to build a shared understanding of corporate AI governance, exchange best practices, and contribute to policy discussions in Japan and internationally. Its mission is to realise a society in which AI governance — the practice of maximising the value of AI through appropriate risk management  becomes the natural standard.

About the “AI Governance Action Agenda”

The AI Governance Action Agenda are the common commitment shared by AIGA and its member companies, setting out the values that companies leveraging AI should realise and the broad actions required to achieve them. Grounded in the basic philosophy of Japan’s human-centric “Social Principles of AI,” the framework sets out three core commitments: ensuring AI delivers societal value, strengthening trust through multistakeholder governance, and enabling innovation in a safe and sustainable way.

These commitments are operationalised through five Basic Policies that emphasise democratic governance, cross‑sector alignment, agile and risk‑based oversight, and active participation in global rule‑making.

AIGA then translates these principles into an AI Governance Action Plan covering the essential domains of modern AI oversight — including privacy and data protection, intellectual property, safety and performance assurance, fairness, security and misuse prevention, human–AI interaction, collaboration with autonomous systems, continuous risk management, independent oversight, transparency and accountability, and AI literacy.

Together, these elements form Japan’s most comprehensive and forward‑looking approach to AI governance, balancing innovation with societal trust and long‑term resilience.
